Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Caton de Woodville could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work The Leopard Hunt changed hands for GBP 192.00 (€ 281.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Caton de Woodville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bonaparte in Egypt, 21st July, 1798 'Soldiers! Fifty centuries look down upon you from the summit of the pyramids' in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69).
Fifty centuries look down upon you from the summit of the pyramids' im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.750,00 (€ 127.998,69).
