Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Riccardo Licata achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in November 2000. In the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction, the work Composizione sold for ITL 3,760,000.00 (€ 3,459.86) - well above the upper estimate of ITL 1,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Riccardo Licata - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Senza titolo, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 13,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Riccardo Licata erzielte im November 2000 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA wurde die Arbeit Composizione für ITL 3.760.000,00 (€ 3.459,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von ITL 1.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Riccardo Licata mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Senza titolo beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für EUR 13.000,00 versteigert wurde.
