In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Maternidad by Ricardo Martínez. The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 82,796.08), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ricardo Martínez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figura Yacente, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 257,000.00 (€ 197,874.96).

Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maternidad von Ricardo Martínez zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 82.796,08) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ricardo Martínez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figura Yacente beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 257.000,00 (€ 197.874,96) versteigert wurde.
