This artwork by Reza Derakshani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in May last year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including On The Banks of the NileA Journey Through Egyptian Art auction, the work A Taste of Time sold for GBP 35,580.00 (€ 41,856.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Reza Derakshani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 194,029.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Reza Derakshani erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including On The Banks of the NileA Journey Through Egyptian Art wurde die Arbeit A Taste of Time für GBP 35.580,00 (€ 41.856,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reza Derakshani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 194.029,85).
