The work A Scene from 'Khosro and Shirin' by Reza Derakshani was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part II auction at Christies in London in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,101.83), 47% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Reza Derakshani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 221,000.00 (€ 194,029.85).

Die Arbeit A Scene from 'Khosro and Shirin' von Reza Derakshani wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part II bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.101,83) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Reza Derakshani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 221.000,00 (€ 194.029,85) versteigert wurde.
