Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Cliff House sight 8 3/4 x 11 3/4 in. framed 18 x 20 3/4 in. by Reynolds Beal was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 640.00 (€ 586.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reynolds Beal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marblehead Races in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 52,962.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Cliff House sight 8 3/4 x 11 3/4 in. framed 18 x 20 3/4 in. von Reynolds Beal kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 640,00 (€ 586,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Reynolds Beal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marblehead Races im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.700,00 (€ 52.962,03).
