The price achieved of USD 71,700.00 (€ 52,962.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Marblehead Races is the most expensive artwork by Reynolds Beal that we have observed at auctions so far.
