Auction result well in line with expectations
The work From the Hills by Reynolds Beal was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,520.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reynolds Beal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marblehead Races in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 52,962.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit From the Hills von Reynolds Beal wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.520,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Reynolds Beal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marblehead Races im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.700,00 (€ 52.962,03).
