Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moodna Creek, New York by Reynolds Beal was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2007. The price achieved of USD 24,000.00 (€ 17,945.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Reynolds Beal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marblehead Races, which sold at auction in December 2004 for USD 71,700.00 (€ 52,962.03).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 24.000,00 (€ 17.945,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Reynolds Beal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marblehead Races beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für USD 71.700,00 (€ 52.962,03) versteigert wurde.
