Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 1.104,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Gilpin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Observations on the coasts of Hampshire, Sussex and Kent, relative chiefly to Picturesq [sic beauty; made in the year, 1774; An album of thirty views including Guildford Castle (illustrated), Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight, Southsea Castle, the Islan|AID697678] im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 9.846,48).
