Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary, which included this untitled work by René Daniels. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 27,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by René Daniels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eindelijk in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 241,580.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von René Daniels zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 27.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von René Daniels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eindelijk im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 241.580,60).
