Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Mosselen (Mussels) by René Daniels. The price achieved of GBP 7,250.00 (€ 8,177.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by René Daniels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eindelijk in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 241,580.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mosselen (Mussels) von René Daniels zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.250,00 (€ 8.177,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von René Daniels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eindelijk im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 241.580,60).
