Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ren Zhong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. In the FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS auction, the work Scholars sold for HKD 191,200.00 (€ 12,411.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Zhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seven Sages in September 2013 with an auction result of CNY 8,850,000.00 (€ 1,068,407.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Zhong erzielte im April 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS wurde die Arbeit Scholars für HKD 191.200,00 (€ 12.411,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Zhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seven Sages im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 8.850.000,00 (€ 1.068.407,83).
