Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Playing The Zither Beneath The Pines by Ren Zhong. The price achieved of CNY 495,600.00 (€ 71,669.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 450,000.00 – 550,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Zhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seven Sages in September 2013 with an auction result of CNY 8,850,000.00 (€ 1,068,407.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Playing The Zither Beneath The Pines von Ren Zhong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 495.600,00 (€ 71.669,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 450.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Zhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seven Sages im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 8.850.000,00 (€ 1.068.407,83).
