Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hermitage by Ren Zhong was sold in the Modern Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 107,154.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 500,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ren Zhong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seven Sages in September 2013 with an auction result of CNY 8,850,000.00 (€ 1,068,407.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hermitage von Ren Zhong wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 107.154,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 1.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ren Zhong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seven Sages im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 8.850.000,00 (€ 1.068.407,83).
