This artwork by Ren Zhe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Shape Shifting Powers sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,476.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ren Zhe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Infinite Sprit of Allegiance in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 280,315.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Zhe erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Shape Shifting Powers für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.476,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ren Zhe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Infinite Sprit of Allegiance im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 280.315,10).
