This artwork by Ren Yu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in December 2020. In the Chinese Paintings Online: Modern Masters auction, the work Landscape sold for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,577.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,800,000.00 (€ 265,471.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Yu erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings Online: Modern Masters wurde die Arbeit Landscape für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.577,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.800.000,00 (€ 265.471,12).
