In September 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III, which included the work Travelers And Trees After Hua Yan, 1887 by Ren Yu. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,462.50 (€ 3,854.63), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,800,000.00 (€ 265,471.12).

Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Travelers And Trees After Hua Yan, 1887 von Ren Yu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 3.854,63) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.800.000,00 (€ 265.471,12).
