Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III, which included the work Ink Landscape by Ren Yu. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,737.50 (€ 4,955.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,800,000.00 (€ 265,471.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ink Landscape von Ren Yu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.737,50 (€ 4.955,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.800.000,00 (€ 265.471,12).
