Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ink Landscape by Ren Yu was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction at Bonhams in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,022.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,800,000.00 (€ 265,471.12).
