The work Amitabha by Ren Yu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 42,206.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Admittedly, works by Ren Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,800,000.00 (€ 265,471.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Amitabha von Ren Yu kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 42.206,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ren Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.800.000,00 (€ 265.471,12).
