The work Vampiros vegetarianos by Remedios Varo was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. It achieved a price of USD 3,301,000.00 (€ 3,002,546.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Remedios Varo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Armonía (Autorretrato Sugerente) sold at auction in June 2020 with the realized price of USD 6,186,800.00 (€ 5,508,681.33).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.301.000,00 (€ 3.002.546,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Remedios Varo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Armonía (Autorretrato Sugerente) im Juni 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.186.800,00 (€ 5.508.681,33).
