Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction French Cancan by Natalie Seroussi, which included the work Comme En Rêve by Remedios Varo. The price achieved of EUR 50,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Remedios Varo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Armonía (Autorretrato Sugerente) in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 6,186,800.00 (€ 5,508,681.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion French Cancan by Natalie Seroussi durch, in der auch die Arbeit Comme En Rêve von Remedios Varo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 50.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Remedios Varo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Armonía (Autorretrato Sugerente) im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.186.800,00 (€ 5.508.681,33).
