In December 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th Century Art, which included the work Mannequins by Reimond Kimpe. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,000.00 29% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Reimond Kimpe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing Tennis in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 59,100.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 29 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mannequins von Reimond Kimpe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.000,00 und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reimond Kimpe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playing Tennis im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 59.100,00.
