Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Reclining Nude by Reg Butler for USD 960.00 (€ 871.14). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reg Butler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Standing in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Reclining Nude von Reg Butler für USD 960,00 (€ 871,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Reg Butler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Standing im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 183.044,74).
