This artwork by Reg Butler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2014. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Woman Standing sold for GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. This high result makes Woman Standing the most expensive artwork by Reg Butler that we have observed at auctions so far.
