In February 2020 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work E.V by Rebecca Warren. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 106,250.00 (€ 123,143.99), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rebecca Warren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fascia Iii in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 555,000.00 (€ 644,171.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit E.V von Rebecca Warren zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 123.143,99) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rebecca Warren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fascia Iii im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 555.000,00 (€ 644.171,71).
