Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Watercolor No. 7 by Raymond Jonson was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,935.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Raymond Jonson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Oil No. 10 in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Watercolor No. 7 von Raymond Jonson wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.935,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raymond Jonson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Oil No. 10 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47).
