Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Growth Variant No. Iv by Raymond Jonson was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,321.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raymond Jonson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oil No. 10, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).
