Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2002 Christies in Los Angeles held the auction CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS, which included the work Watercolor #14 by Raymond Jonson. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,780.00 (€ 4,849.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Raymond Jonson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Oil No. 10 in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in Los Angeles die Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Watercolor #14 von Raymond Jonson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.780,00 (€ 4.849,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raymond Jonson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Oil No. 10 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47).
