In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Watercolor No. 23 by Raymond Jonson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,600.00 (€ 11,664.42), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raymond Jonson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oil No. 10, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).

Im März 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Watercolor No. 23 von Raymond Jonson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 11.664,42) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Raymond Jonson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Oil No. 10 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47) versteigert wurde.
