Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Blind Man's Bluff by Ray Metzker was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April 2021. The price achieved of USD 18,900.00 (€ 15,710.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 16,000.00 – 22,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ray Metzker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composites: Tall Grove Of Nudes in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 92,599.59).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Blind Man's Bluff von Ray Metzker wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 15.710,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 16.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ray Metzker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composites: Tall Grove Of Nudes im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 92.599,59).
