Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pictus Interruptus: Mykonos, Greece by Ray Metzker was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 6,350.00 (€ 5,751.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ray Metzker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composites: Tall Grove Of Nudes in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 92,599.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pictus Interruptus: Mykonos, Greece von Ray Metzker kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.350,00 (€ 5.751,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ray Metzker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composites: Tall Grove Of Nudes im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 92.599,59).
