Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ray Metzker could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Discovery on Madison Online auction, the work City Whispers, Philadelphia changed hands for USD 408.00 (€ 384.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ray Metzker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composites: Tall Grove Of Nudes in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 92,599.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ray Metzker konnte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Discovery on Madison Online wechselte die Arbeit City Whispers, Philadelphia für USD 408,00 (€ 384,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ray Metzker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composites: Tall Grove Of Nudes im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 92.599,59).
