Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Head) by Ravinder Reddy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,279.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ravinder Reddy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 341,000.00 (€ 266,073.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Head) von Ravinder Reddy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.279,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ravinder Reddy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Family im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 341.000,00 (€ 266.073,66).
