Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Red Head) by Ravinder Reddy was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2017. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 71,262.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ravinder Reddy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family, which sold at auction in March 2013 for USD 341,000.00 (€ 266,073.66).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Red Head) von Ravinder Reddy wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 71.262,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ravinder Reddy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family beobachtet, die im März 2013 für USD 341.000,00 (€ 266.073,66) versteigert wurde.
