Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ravinder Reddy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2018. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Goddess) sold for GBP 100,000.00 (€ 113,017.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ravinder Reddy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family, which sold at auction in March 2013 for USD 341,000.00 (€ 266,073.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ravinder Reddy erzielte im Juni 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Goddess) für GBP 100.000,00 (€ 113.017,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ravinder Reddy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family beobachtet, die im März 2013 für USD 341.000,00 (€ 266.073,66) versteigert wurde.
