Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head by Ravinder Reddy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,654.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ravinder Reddy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 341,000.00 (€ 266,073.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Head von Ravinder Reddy kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.654,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ravinder Reddy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Family im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 341.000,00 (€ 266.073,66).
