Auction result misses estimated price range
In August this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Seated Girl); Untitled (Portrait of a Seated Woman) (2 works) by Raphael Soyer for USD 89.60 (€ 82.66). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raphael Soyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passerby in December 2009 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 60,354.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Seated Girl); Untitled (Portrait of a Seated Woman) (2 works) von Raphael Soyer für USD 89,60 (€ 82,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raphael Soyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passerby im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 60.354,45).
