Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Raphael Soyer could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction, the work Untitled (Girl with Necklace); Self-Portrait (with Wife) (2nd State) (2 works) changed hands for USD 76.80 (€ 70.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raphael Soyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passerby in December 2009 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 60,354.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raphael Soyer konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Girl with Necklace); Self-Portrait (with Wife) (2nd State) (2 works) für USD 76,80 (€ 70,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raphael Soyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passerby im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 60.354,45).
