Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zurich, 1974 by Raoul Ubac was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Brussels in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 200.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 230.40 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Ubac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Triomphe De La Stérilité Ou Penthesilée in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,645.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zurich, 1974 von Raoul Ubac wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in Brüssel versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 230,40 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Ubac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Triomphe De La Stérilité Ou Penthesilée im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.645,16).
