Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Empreinte d'ardoise sur papier japon. Signée by Raoul Ubac was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Brussels in June this year. The price achieved of EUR 192.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 150.00 – 250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Ubac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Triomphe De La Stérilité Ou Penthesilée in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,645.16).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 192,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 150,00 – 250,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Ubac erzielen.
