This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Ramsès Younan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Contre le mur in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 387,000.00 (€ 344,674.03).

Die Arbeit Egyptian Portrait von Ramsès Younan war einem Käufer im November 2014 GBP 60.000,00 (€ 75.436,57) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ramsès Younan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Contre le mur im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 387.000,00 (€ 344.674,03).
