The work Third Avenue Elevated #1A by Ralston Crawford was worth USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,800.60) to a buyer in July 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Forms in Color at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 800.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralston Crawford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flour Mill #2 in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 654,400.00 (€ 552,609.36).
