Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ‘It Is Well To Expect The British Officials To Be On The Side Of The Commonwealth Countries They Deal With, Not Of Britain’ by Ralph Steadman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,423.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ralph Steadman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hunger, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,981.18).

Die Arbeit ‘It Is Well To Expect The British Officials To Be On The Side Of The Commonwealth Countries They Deal With, Not Of Britain’ von Ralph Steadman kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.423,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden.
