Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ralph Eugene Meatyard was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in July 2018. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,271.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ralph Eugene Meatyard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, (Flag - derelict interior with Christopher), 1960 in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,600.00 (€ 24,597.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ralph Eugene Meatyard kam im Juli 2018 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.271,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ralph Eugene Meatyard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, (Flag - derelict interior with Christopher), 1960 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.600,00 (€ 24.597,36).
