Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Landscape Study by Ralph Albert Blakelock. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,184.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Albert Blakelock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stilly Night in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 193,287.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape Study von Ralph Albert Blakelock zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.184,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Albert Blakelock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stilly Night im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 193.287,25).
