Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Nocturne by Ralph Albert Blakelock. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,031.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Albert Blakelock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stilly Night in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 193,287.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nocturne von Ralph Albert Blakelock zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 8.031,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Albert Blakelock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stilly Night im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 193.287,25).
