Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ralph Albert Blakelock could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Hawley, Pennsylvania changed hands for USD 28,750.00 (€ 25,605.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ralph Albert Blakelock have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stilly Night in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 193,287.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ralph Albert Blakelock konnte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Hawley, Pennsylvania für USD 28.750,00 (€ 25.605,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ralph Albert Blakelock auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stilly Night im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 193.287,25).
