Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Autumn Landscape by Ralph Albert Blakelock. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,139.21). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Albert Blakelock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stilly Night in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 193,287.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Landscape von Ralph Albert Blakelock zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.139,21) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Albert Blakelock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stilly Night im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 193.287,25).
